Position Title: Programme Officer – NAC 5

Reporting to: Regional Programme Manager
Duty stations: Kisumu, Nyeri, Nairobi or Mombasa
Job Summary
The Programme Officers will be responsible for implementation of programs on the campaign against alcohol and drug abuse in the region covering several counties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Regional Programme Manager in planning, implementation and monitoring of alcohol and drug abuse intervention program in the region;
- Facilitate partnership linkages and working relationships with the public, private sector, and the general public;
- To prepare monthly and quarterly work-plans and budgets for the Regional Office in liaison with the Regional Programme Manager;
- Facilitate evaluation of alcohol and drug abuse programs in liaison with the Regional Programme Manager;
- To prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports;
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from a recognized university;
- Ability to work with diverse groups of stakeholders;
- Skills in community/resources mobilization;
- Knowledge of alcohol and substance of abuse legislation, policy and related mitigation;
- Knowledge of programme design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and budgeting;
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience;
- Must be proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office);
- Excellent communication skills (English and Kiswahili both oral and written).
