USIU is seeking to recruit qualified candidates for the position listed below.

Assistant Accountant
Job Purpose: Management of accounts receivables

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and update the student accounts.
  • Handling queries pertaining to student fees balance and administer the production of statements as and when required.
  • Generating and send out student statements to students/sponsors to hasten collection.
  • Giving financial and final clearance to students and also clear financial holds.
  • Processing student refunds monthly.
  • Reconciling cafeteria debit notes monthly
  • Making payment arrangements with students, parents and sponsors with outstanding fee balances at the beginning of each semester.
  • Producing debtors aging analysis monthly.
  • Drafting letters and prepare invoices for students.


Skills required

Computer proficiency

Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, accounting, finance, economics or equivalent.
Professional Qualifications: CPA II

Minimum Experience: 2 years in a similar position
