Human Resources Manager
Requirements;
  • Masters in Human Resources Management/ development with 10yrs proven productive work experience in Management of Human Resource in a large Organization and high academic abilities.
  • 1st Degree in Social Science or equivalent.
  • Higher diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • Member of Institute of Human Resource Management.
  • High sense of integrity and honesly
  • Strong disposition towards customer services and teamwork.
  • Mature personality with capacity of handling confidential matters.
  • Good team spirit.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Counselling skills.
  • HR Software knowledge.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strategic Management skills.
Responsibilities;
  • Audit constantly the Human Resource Intellectual capital of the company and recommend competencies suitable for various positions.
  • Administer personnel policies and procedures for compliance.
  • Monitor staff establishment, cost productivity and plan remedial action.
  • Monitor and advise on staff promotions to assure consistency.
  • Advise suitable staff welfare schemes for staff
  • Plan and lead the process of sourcing and placement of skills in right jobs.
  • Custodian of staff records and Human Resources establishment.
  • Formulate and update schemes of service.
  • Conduct research on employee attitude and measure job satisfaction index.
  • Review and update work organization and method (08M).
  • Prepare and update strategic Human Resource plans of the University.
  • Prepare and submit budgetary estimates for the department and enforce necessary controls.
  • Monitor relations of the company with external publics and take appropriate action.
  • Advise the Management on Human Resource Matters.

Webmaster
Requirements;
  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
  • Three years of web development experience using content management systems (CMS); proficiency in HTML/XHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, PHP, ASP, .Net, MySQL, MS Office 2010, MS SharePoint, Google
Analytics or equivalents.
  • Additional training in communication or PR will be on added advantage. . Creative and self-motivated individual.
  • Other desirable attributes include working knowledge of Flash, multimedia technologies, graphic design and social media marketing.
Responsibilities;
  • Web development which will include redesign of existing website if and when necessary, addition of new pages and functionality or modification of existing pages, renewal of the University’s web hosting, creation and maintenance of the University’s portals in liaison with the ICT Department and other departments.
  • Facilitate end-users ¡n directly updating information specific to their departments wherever possible in a content management system or website.
  • Assist in establishing policies and procedures including documentation of the University website and its web portals.
  • Train users in the use of various tools associated with updating content on the website and University portals.
  • Maintain a high quality website that portrays the University’s branding with easy navigation for Internet browsers.
  • Working with departmental representatives, he or she should ensure that the website accurately reflects the University’s current events, goals, ethics and initiatives.
  • Installation of various types of software to assist in the development of new content and maintenance of existing content on the website.
  • SEO optimization of the website content so that it is search engine friendly.
  • Maintenance of web analytics software for tracking and profiling visitors to the website.
  • Preparation of monthly reports on web visitors and their profiles.
School Of Science, Engineering and Health 
 
Senior Lecturer in Actuarial Science
Requirements;
  • Be a holder of a PhD in Actuarial Science or Financial Mathematics.
  • Must have taught at university level for a minimum of five years and served in the position of Lecturer for at least three years.
  • The candidate must have published at least three articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Candidates with previous leadership experience as head of department or a related position will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities;
  • Spearhead the launch of the BSc. in Actuarial Science programme and provide academic leadership.
  • Teach actuarial science courses and mathematics.
  • Undertake research and community outreach activities.
  • Be an active participant in curriculum development in the department of Science and Engineering.
Senior Lecturer in Computer Science
Requirements;
  • Be a holder of a PhD in Computer Science, or Information Technology from a reputable university.
  • Must have taught at university level for a minimum of five years and served in the position of Lecturer for at east three years.
  • The candidate must have published at east three articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Candidates with previous leadership experience as head of department or a related position will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities;
  • Provide academic leadership for the Computer Science deportment.
  • Teach Computer Science and Information Technology courses.
  • Undertake research and community outreach activities.
  • Be an active participant in curriculum development in the department of Computer Science.
Lecturer In Computer Science
Requirements;
  • Be a holder of a PhD in Computer Science or Information Technology from a reputable university.
  • Must have taught at university level for a minimum of iwo years as Assistant Lecturer.
  • The candidate must have published at least one or more articles in journals.
Responsibilities;
  • Teach Computer Science and Information Technology courses.
  • Undertake research and community outreach activities.
  • Be an active participant in curriculum development in the department of Computer Science.
  • Any other duties assigned by the head of department.
School Of Human and Social Sciences
Associate Professor in Psychology or Development Studies
Requirements;
  • PhD degree in Psychology or Development Studies.
  • At least four (4) years experience as a senior lecturer or researcher at the University level.
  • Applicants must have proven experience in developing academic programmes in their field of specialization.
  • Must have published at least four articles in refereed journals or five chapters in academic books published by recognized publishers or one academic book or ten book reviews.
  • Applicants must have proven experience in supervision of thesis and general research.
  • Those who have served as HOD or Dean with other responsibilities and have received positive evaluation from their supervisors will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities;
  • Will be expected to conduct research, publish and facilitate learning by guiding and supervising thesis or projects at the postgraduate level.
  • Should be able to teach a variety of courses at PhD and Masters levels in Psychology and Development Studies
  • Must be able to investigate and recommend new programmes of interest to the School.
  • Must possess experience in developing academic programmes.
  • Must be able to supervise Dissertation/ Thesis.
Senior Lecturer in Psychology 

Requirements;
  • Ph. D. (or Doctorate) with three years teaching experience as lecturer or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience ¡n any two of the following: research and publications (at least three articles in refereed journals or Iwo chapters in books published by recognized publishers)
  • Must have participated in curriculum development and thesis supervision.
  • Must have made a demonstrable contribution in his or her field of expertise through community engagement.
  • Those with administrative experience, such as serving as an HOD or dean have an added advantage.
Responsibilities;
  • Teach relevant courses at postgraduate/ undergraduate level.
  • Set, moderate, assess and effectively manage university examinations.
  • Participate in design and evaluation of curriculum.
  • Conduct and implement academic research in relevant area.
  • Effectively manage and mentor students in the Programme.
  • Must be able to supervise Dissertation/thesis.
Lecturer in Project Management or Monitoring and Evaluation
 
Two Year Contract
Requirements;
  • Ph. D. (or Doctorate) in Project Management or Monitoring and Evaluation or Development.
  • Must have taught at university level for a minimum of two years as Assistant Lecturer.
  • The candidate must have published at least one article in peer-reviewed journals.
Responsibilities;
  • Teach relevant courses at postgraduate/ undergraduate level.
  • Set, moderate, assess and effectively manage university examinations.
  • Participate in design and evaluation of curriculum.
  • Conduct and implement academic research in relevant area.
  • Effectively manage and mentor students in the Programme.
  • Must be able to Supervise Dissertation/Thesis.
