The office of the Provincial Director of Medical Services and Provincial Director of Public Health and Sanitation in collaboration with Family Aids Care and Treatment Program, for the purpose of supporting and strengthening HIV/AIDS services in Nyanza province, is seeking to employ motivated and pro-active individuals to fill the following vacancies in the MOH/FACES Program.
Positions.
- Theatre Attendant (1) Vacancy NO: MOH/FACES-02-12.
- HTC Counsellors (3) Vacancy NO: MOH/FACES-03-12.
- Registered Nursing officers (4) Vacancy NO: MOH/FACES-04-12.
- Medical Laboratory Technologists (2) Vacancy NO: MOH/FACES-05-12.
- Pharmaceutical Technologists (2) Vacancy NO: MOH/FACES-06-12.
- Health records and Information Technician (1) Vacancy NO: MOH/FACES-07-12.
Location: Nyatike, Rongo, Migori, Suba/Mbita and Kisumu East Districts.
Key Requirements:
- HTC counsellors and the theatre attendant must have a mean grade of at least D plus while other cadres to have a mean grade of C plus and above in KCSE.
- Theatre attendant must have at least a certificate in nurse aid/ guidance and counselling and those with some experience in hospital hygiene management will have added advantage.
- HTC counsellors must have HTC certificate recognised by NASCOP and those with experience in HIV Testing and Counselling will have added advantage.
- Registered nursing officers, medical laboratory technologists and pharmaceutical technologists must have Diploma certificate in relevant field and registration with the relevant board/body required.
- Nursing Officers should be trained in ART Adherence counselling, have skills and knowledge in counselling in the context of HIV/AIDS.
- HRIT should have certificate in Health Records and information technology.
- The candidates must have good interpersonal skills, very flexible and a team player.
Note:
The successful candidates will be supervised by their respective hospital/facility management team from the Ministry of health in conjunction with FACES Program management team.
