Higher Education in Australia enjoys a high international reputation and so AEGA was founded in Australia with the objective of Marketing Australian Education globally as well as offering relevant advice with the bigger picture in mind (‘globally’). 
Prospective Scholars / students are considered  as individuals on a ‘case by case basis’ and are assisted  to plan their learning pathways which are realistic and the most appropriate for them.
Business Development & Marketing Officers

Australian Education Global Advisors (AEGA) is currently seeking the services of dynamic Business Development & Marketing Officers (BD & MO) to drive AEGA’s international education platform.

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Coordinator Africa and oversight from the Directors the role of the Business Development & Marketing Officers is primarily to recruit students who intend to relocate for further studies in Australia.  

These positions will be based in Nairobi Kenya, Dar-es salaam Tanzania, Kampala Uganda, Kigali Rwanda, Juba South Sudan and Addis Ababa Ethiopia. 
The BD & MO will sustain close contact with the student’s sponsors, parents and stakeholders in the higher education sector. In addition they will maintain effective public, media, and community relations and serving as AEGA’s marketing, public affairs and media communications liaison.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Provide strategic direction for College’s marketing programs
  • Develop, implement and organise marketing activities
  • Manage recruitment of  international students
  • Liaise with local and overseas agents for student recruitment
  • Liaise with employer and industry group to identify training needs
  • Organise and attend onshore marketing events
  • Produce and distribute promotional material including website information
  • Provide student advice on enrolments, procedures and regulations
The successful applicant must possess the following skills:
  • Demonstrated marketing experience in the Higher  education sector
  • Experience in recruitment of  international students
  • An established working relationship with industry body and agents
  • Highly driven, self-motivated and keen to take initiatives
  • Highly developed organisational skills and an ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of  VQF and ESOS Act is desirable
  • Good understanding of government policies and funding programs
  • Excellent computing skills
Educational / License Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Education, Communications Journalism, or closely related field and three years’ experience in marketing education programs, communications writing and editing public relations materials; or, any combination of education and  experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Experience planning and managing events targeting education promotion.
  • one to two  years of previous marketing education experience
  • Valid driver’s licence
