Location: Nairobi, Kenya

  • Cold-calling by telephone, identifying and contacting numerous potential clients daily.
  • Carrying out extensive research via internet, telephone books and any other methods to identify new markets and business opportunities.
  • Understanding and communicating up to date information on the products and services offered by the Client.
  • Managing a sales database, ensuring all calls are logged accurately, including contact details and any follow up dates or other action required.
  • Liaising with the sales team to pass on potential leads, checking that the necessary contact is then made by them and any requested action taken.
  • Generating new business.
  • Assisting with the administration for managing existing accounts.
  • Meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Up-selling.
  • Identifying sales opportunities and leads.
  • Direct selling to the client.
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with potential and existing customers via telephone calls.
  • Arranging meetings for the sales team with potential customers to prospect for new business.
  • Acting as a contact between the Client and its existing and potential markets.
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
  • Advising on forthcoming product and service developments.
  • Recording sales and order information and sending details on the CRM.
  • Gaining a clear understanding of our customers’ businesses and requirements
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
  • Feeding future buying trends back to the sales team.
  • Attending team meetings, training and sharing best practice with colleagues.
  • Collation and reporting of management information including KPI’s and quality audits, as well as the development of management systems.
  • Maintaining a friendly and helpful attitude to clients, potential clients and staff and ensuring KenCall is always presented in a positive manner.
  • Occasional tasks from the office at the discretion of the management and any additional ad-hoc duties as required.

  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Those who have hands-on experience in IT technical support have an added advantage.

Educational and/or Other Requirements/Qualifications
  • Must possess 3 years sales experience in the IT Services Industry.
  • Possession of an IT Related Diploma or Degree.
  • Well versed with latest and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
