Multi-Media and Informations Officer at Aidspan
Aidspan, a Kenya-based think tank and independent observer of the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria, is recruiting a programme officer-level candidate to join its Outreach Department (see www.aidspan.org).
This is a challenging and unique position in a lean, flexible and highly specialised organisation.
Selected Qualifications and Experience
- At least a university first or masters degree in communications, multi-media or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in multimedia communications, knowledge transfer and management.
- Experience in managing and facilitating online platforms, partnerships and forums; able to enhance constructive and vibrant dialogue within the user community
- Ability to develop/adapt engaging web-based materials: content, policy briefs and special projects
- Experience in developing digital presentations and building internal capacity in info-graphics, and digital storytelling.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching or training in the use of these platforms and in knowledge transfer techniques, with an interest in cultivating this capacity in others.
- Experience working with open source online systems.
- Proven evidence of strong written and oral communication skills.
This position is based at Aidspan’s office in Nairobi.
Preference will be given to Kenyan citizens or those with residency status.
