Exciting Career Opportunity 
Job Purpose: Reporting to the GLT Plant Manager, to optimize Green Leaf Threshing (GLT) plant performance and achieve the best product quality and yields through continuous process improvement and process behavior analysis. 
Key Deliverables:
  • Analyze, monitor and evaluate quality results and process variables in-order to optimize tobacco processing.
  • Carry out process audits and optimize machinery output and continuous review of processing equipment upgrades.
  • Conduct process improvement projects and process recommendations.
  • Design business processes and manage any changes to them throughout their life cycle.
  • Synthesize complex or diverse information, designs work flows and procedures.
  • Document and or revise process procedures vis-à-vis start up, shutdown and monitoring after plant modifications.
  • Training of subordinates and other external trainees.
  • Document Business Process Management System (BPMS) specifications to be used by the technical team for process automation test and execute processes using the BPMS to ensure that the right outputs are delivered.
  • Review all process modifications and give internal technical advice.
  • Examine processes holistically to understand the impact of changing them on business strategy, people, systems and general business operations.
  • Contribute and participate fully in developing & driving initiatives necessary to achieve overall business objectives. 
Essential requirements
  • Graduate engineer, preferably Process/ Industrial Engineering.
  • At least two years of processing experience.
  • Thorough understanding of product processing, quality measurements and specification procedures.
  • Critical analysis, problem solving and reporting skills.
  • Exposure to Six Sigma/Lean methods, Analysis tools and Change Management.
  • Experience with software development on commercial or enterprise projects.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
