Health Strat is a health systems technical support institution seeking a suitably qualified individual to fill the post of Project Coordinator. 
This position will support the delivery of comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment services in collaboration with the Kenya Prisons Service.

Job Purpose: The Project Coordinator will be responsible for oversight of project planning, implementation, and reporting, in close collaboration with key partners. 

Core functions will include leading work plan and budget development, coordinating the project team activities, monitoring performance, and coordinating activities with partners.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Leads work plan development process
  • Oversees budget development and participates in budget management
  • Coordinates activities of project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
  • Inculcates a culture of data use and continuous quality improvement into all project areas
  • Ensures adherence to clinical and project management guidelines to obtain results
  • Ensures compliance with donor and government expectations for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
  • Compiles reports prepared by project staff
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • Ensures all project planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting activities are conducted in close collaboration with project partners, and with explicit capacity-building elements
  • Establishes operational objectives and assignments
  • Custodian of project strategy and activity plan
  • Represents the organization for project-specific meetings with stakeholders
Person Specifications
 
Academic Qualifications:
  • Masters of Public Health/Masters of Businesses administration/Master’s Program Management
  • Bachelor degree in a business-related field (added advantage)
  • Medical/clinical background (added advantage)
Professional Qualifications:
  • Project management certification
Experience:
  • 5 years’ experience, with 3 years’ experience at a managerial level
  • Experience in a leadership position on a PEPFAR/CDC grant (added advantage)
Skills:
