Brand Activators, Sales Representatives at M-KOPA

M-KOPA Solar is looking for Brand Activators to join our fast-growing sales team. 
They will be responsible for driving sales through our Safaricom retail centers sales channel. 
Their objectives will be to help grow our exposure and brand to new emerging customers.
 
The role: As a BA you will be responsible for dealing with customers, answering queries, selling M-KOPA products, handling concerns and making sure that the M-KOPA display unit and stock is well maintained in the Safaricom retail centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive M-KOPA awareness among potential customers.
  • Generate sales within the retail centers and ensure outlet meets sales targets.
  • Conduct product demonstration for potential customer in the retail centers
  • Run promotions, attend and present at retail centre events when necessary
  • Monitoring stock levels and ensuring product availability at all times
  • Create and maintain effective partner relationships
  • Gather market intelligence

  • Able to work independently to deliver results
  • Work effectively under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to follow up.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently

M-KOPA has the investor funding and ambition to expand its product line and extend its reach to new markets, to this effect we are seeking Sales Representatives to handle the growth and accessibility of M-Kopa’s service in various parts of the country.
 

Job Description / Responsibilities

The Sales Representative is responsible for:
  • Driving the sales in his/her territory
  • Hiring Sales Agents for their territory
  • Training Sales Agents for their territory
  • Supervising Sales Agents for their territory
  • Achieving  and surpassing territory sales targets
  • Maintaining accurate stock records
  • Selective feedback on progress of operations
  • Addressing territory queries and follow ups
Skills and Experience
  • Experience in direct sales
  • Aptitude for sales and the drive to achieve and exceed targets
  • Good communication skills
  • A strong understanding of their given territory to be based in. (Coast/Eastern/Rift Valley/Central)
Remuneration
The position pays a gross salary of Ksh 40,000 with a competitive commission structure. 
There is also a Travel/Phone allowance of Ksh 3,500 per week.
