Web Portal Content Manager at Danya International

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Summary Scope of Work: An important part of the project is developing an active user community through a knowledge portal.  Leading the creation of content, management of stakeholder engagement and marketing of the portal to new users will be a Web Portal Content Manager.  
The position will be responsible for leading periodic user satisfaction surveys which will help guide the further development of the portal content and functionality to be demand driven.

This position will be responsible for writing new content, identifying relevant partner content, and developing and implementing a web content strategy.   

This individual will also be responsible for managing and directing the content development related mentoring and technical assistance to regional partners. 

The ideal candidate will also have experience managing website creation, application development and ICT-related training. Additionally, overall project management experience is essential. 
Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate website content strategy & manage implementation of monthly digital plan
  • Create & implement communication campaign to drive traffic to the website
  • Create/Write content for the portal and assist with content development from partners
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance website functionality and develop innovative ways to effectively meet customer needs
  • Leadership the functional web team and individual projects, schedules and priorities
  • Review & edit content from partners
  • Experience in the measurement, analysis and improvement of web key performance indicators (wKPI).
  • Proven track record of driving product from idea to market launch and post-launch client acquisition, adoption, activity and satisfaction.
  • Establish processes for client responsiveness, support and communication.
  • Calendar management, individual projects and priorities
  • News & Event section updates
  • Support development of bi-monthly, quarterly & annual reports
  • Create and manage website database
  • Write & issue eNewsletters
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience with proven web writing and editing skills, including product design and promotion
  • Knowledge of web usability standards and practices
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks within tight schedules and deadlines
  • Self-driven with ability to formulate innovative solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • Relevant education and training
  • Self-starter; Strong initiative & independence; Proactive
  • Experience in trade and/or private sector development preferred
  • Experience with E-learning desired
  • Experience with USAID-funded projects desired
