Job Title:
Main Purpose of the Job:
To provide support to the Human Resource Manager through the provision of HR generalistic administrative functions.
 
Educational Requirements:
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management from IHRM
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a bias in Human Resources Management will be an added advantage
Minimum Required Experience:
  • 2 years as a HR Generalist

  • Sound core knowledge of applicable labour legislation in Kenya

Key Output Areas:
 
HR Administration
  • Responsible for maintaining and up-dating employee files/records
  • Ensure timely inclusion of employees in the relevant schemes upon employment/confirmation
  • Responsible for regular updating of the leave register on the HRIS
  • Preparation of payroll data
  • Calculation and maintenance of the incentive file
  • HR onboarding of all new employees
Recruitment
  • Assists in the overall recruitment process as guided by the HR Manager
  • Assist in the shortlisting of candidates
  • Schedules for initial screening interviews and makes calls to invite candidates
  • Ensure all recruitment policies and procedures and techniques are adhered to
  •  Managing Applications and CV’s of current and potential employees including screening candidates and scheduling interviews.
  • Verifies candidates background by contacting referees
Employee Relations and Welfare
  • Assists the HR Manager in providing guidance on company policies and procedures and in-country legislation to line management and other employees
  • Assists in the  co-ordination of staff welfare initiatives
General
  • Coordination and completion of ad hoc HR projects as and when they arise;
  • Any other duty as requested by management
