Procument Officer at Nine One One Group

Nine One One Group a leading integrated security solutions provider with a presence in all major cities in Kenya and other selected cities in the East African region seeks to recruit a Procurement Officer.

Overall Job Purpose

Reporting to the Finance Manager; the successful candidates will provide an effective link between management and suppliers in execution of day to day activities and achieving set targets and standards of operation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Monitoring Re order levels to avoid stock outs 2. Preparation and initiation of annual procurement plans

3. Ensuring implementation of procurement committee decisions

4. Preparing LPO’s upon approval of order and supplier

5. Ensure effective inventory control to achieve improvements in stock turn over. 6. Participate in the tendering procedure to identify suppliers, contractors and consultants.

7. Establish and maintain database of vendors for goods and services required by the company and any records pertaining to procurement and stores

8. Secretary to the Procurement Committee.

9. Conduct market research to keep abreast of market developments for improvement of Group procurement process. 10. Set procurement & quality targets and supervise the Store Keeper

11. Requisition goods and services to maintain the approved stock levels for all stores

12. Identify and recommend disposal of obsolete/unused goods/items in line with guidelines


1. A minimum of University degree in a Business field preferably with a bias to purchasing and supplies or procurement.

2. Proficiency in a relevant accounting software

3. Experience – Minimum 2 years

4. Good communication and organization skills
