We seek to recruit an experienced, competent and self-motivated individual with excellent leadership skills, who will form the core team that will deliver on our strategic intent to fill the following position:

Job Summary: The Certified Public Secretary will primarily be responsible for ensuring that the company’s clients comply with standard financial and legal practice and maintain standards of corporate governance. 
He/she will also be responsible for acting as the internal Company Secretary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on the legal, governance, accounting and tax implications of new legislation.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and advice clients accordingly.
  • Develop and oversee the systems that ensure companies comply with all applicable codes, in addition to legal and statutory requirements.
  • Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks
  • Analyze the probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases
  • Draft shareholders’ agreements
  • Undertake company formations and give advice on business structures
  • Undertake/participate in legal due diligence exercises
  • Prepare legal briefs and opinions
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Must be a Certified Public Secretary – CPS(K)
  • Membership to ICPSK will be an added advantage
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Law
  • A minimum of five (5) year experience as a Company Secretary from reputable corporate entity or professional services firm
  • Commercial experience in law
  • Must possess a license to practice law
