A leading Insurance Company in Kenya, renowned for its innovative, reliable, affordable and unmatched motor insurance services is looking for a motivated and qualified Procurement Assistant
We are looking for someone mature, with at least three years experience and ability to articulate issues.

Responsibilities
  • Develop sourcing strategy under the guidance of the Procurement Committee members
  • Identify and propose cost reduction / continuous performance improvement (supplier) opportunities.
  • Process purchase requisitions / orders within the purchasing authority.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing records and reports
  • Work with procurement committee and other departments to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Supports in the preparation and in managing supplier selection process for assigned activities.
  • Constantly maintains detailed supplier database
  • Oversee receiving of materials & services
  • Filing procurement documentation i.e. correspondence with suppliers, request for proposals/quotations (RFP/RFQs), adverts, prequalification documents, quotations, letters of award and regrets, contracts, minutes of procurement committee meetings.
  • Ensure procurement policies, processes and guidelines are adhered to.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in a  business related field  from a recognized university
  • Professional qualification in procurement, supply chain or related qualifications. Must be a current member of a reputable procurement related professional body.
  • Minimum 3 year experience in Procurement function
  • Creative problem-solving and flexibility of thinking
  • High degree of transparency and integrity
  • Attention to detail
