We seek to engage suitably qualified personnel for the following position: Procurement Officer
This position is on a permanent and pensionable basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overall supervision over supplies and utilities.
- Purchasing and maintenance of office supplies.
- Processing of requisitions and orders from user departments.
- Assist user departments in development of specifications for required items.
- Prepare the annual supplies schedule.
- Administer contract performance including delivery, receipt, damages and warranties.
- Reconcile or resolve value discrepancies
- Comply and maintain knowledge of rules, standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management.
- Maintain good supplier relationships.
- Prepare tender evaluation reports.
- Facilitate tender adjudication
- Any other duties, which may be assigned by the Finance and Administration Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent.
- K.C.S.E Grade C (plain) or its approved equivalent.
- 2 years’ of relevant working experience.
- Should possess negotiation and communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of computers and accounting software applications.
