Facilities/Risk Manager at CDL

Job Function: Ensure full management of the facilities and or service providers rendering support service to the company including procurement of maintenance goods.

Key Performance Area and Essential Duties
 1. Facilities Management    
  • Inspection must be executed on a Daily basis and records of these inspections must be kept on file for the warehouses and the rest of the facility
  • Cleaning and Housekeeping.
  • MHE Report verification.
  • Racking Inspections within the facilities.
  • Routine Services scheduling.
  • To ensure that all external and internal lighting Illumination of the Site is in Operational state. 
  • Throughout the premises is in a working order at all times.
  • HVAC and EVAP Machines.
  • Scheduling of all preventative service maintenance checks by service provider
  • Weekly checks & testing of all critical systems & equipment
  • Proper record keeping for all systems and equipment
2. Material Handling Equipment Management.
  • Daily application to ensure that effective / efficient and optimized utilization of these MHE machines are obtained and maintained in the different departmental functions within the warehouses.
  • Daily application and reviewing the machine activity reports on the system of Operators misusing and damaging the MHE machines.
  • Adhere to proper procedures for battery charge and maintenance
  • The delivery and collection process of all MHE must be personally supervised by the Facilities Manager including ADHOC Rentals.
3. Cleaning Company Management.  
  • Management of the daily tasking and inspections of the various areas where the cleaning company is deployed.
  • Dustbin cleanliness, inspection sheet verification, Scrubber machine utilization.
  • Supervision of the ADHOC Cleaning staff brought on site for quarterly Cleaning.
4. Daily Consumable Stock levels verification.   
  • Management of all Warehouse consumables on a day to day stock level verification basis.
  • Ordering of Consumables from Service providers and ensuring delivery of ordered stock takes place.
5. Procurement.
  • Manage procurement cycles, approvals process on 3 quote system and purchase order generation through Finance to facilitate quick turn-around time on procurement of service or goods
6. Garden Service
  • Management of Service provider relationship.
  • Management on site Staff.
  • Weekly inspection of Gardens.
  • Weekly verification of irrigation system function.
  • Weekly inspection of Gardening Equipment and Assets.
7. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)  – (Warehouse overalls, Freezer suits, MHE  harnesses, safety shoes and hard hats)
  • Monthly reconciliation of uniforms with First Garment.
  • Monthly inspection of uniforms to ensure/ID the uniform in need of repairs are attended to.
  • Manage service provider relationship.
Qualifications Required
  • College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with at least 2 year’s relevant experience.
  • Experience in projects and building management and maintenance  
  • Supervisory exposure
  • Knowledge in Security and risk management would be an advantage
Skills and Experience Required 
  • Analytical skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Good reading and writing skills in English

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
