Web Developer/Programmer Jobs at Safisana Group of Companies

The Safisana Group Limited (a Group of companies) which comprises of various subsidiary companies that have been founded to offer home improvement solutions is looking for a Web Developer cum Web Programmer.

The Web Developer cum Programmer will:

  • Look after the after the web properties as well as websites and web-related database systems of the Safisana Group Limited in liaison with web content manager.
  • Perform research and develop new technologies for web development.
  • Liase with web content manager in the maintaining and compilation records of website content
  • Design various applications for effective implementation of web services and provide support to all media activities.
  • Analyze develop designs and prepare appropriate software on same.
  • Maintain developed software, prepare code, perform tests and debug systems to achieve desire web programs.
  • Prepare documents of various user level and program level codes and perform tests on same.
  • Prepare strategies to support system administration according to Safisana Group Limited requirements.
  • Develop various reusable web tools to provide organizational development.
  • Prepare programs for organizational development with help of appropriate CMS.
  • Maintain knowledge on new and emerging applications and coordinate with web content manager to incorporate it in organizations activities.
  • Evaluate efficient working of various web solutions according to Safisana Group Limited requirements and provide optimal services.
  • Develop customized architecture applications and provide resolution to all Safisana Group Limited requirements.
  • Coordinate with web content manager and develop appropriate graphic designs for online properties.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, graphic design, multimedia integration or equivalent training in programming.
  • It is pertinent that he/she be well versed in different computer languages and applications that are required in website designing and development including  HTML, XML, Java, C++, C#, Perl, VBScript, PHP, JavaScript, DOM, CSS, Visual Basic .NET, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Photo Shop Pro, and like applications
  • Know programming languages and databases as well as their capabilities and technical limitations.
  • Know the different network protocols and file transfer protocols for the transmission and retrieval of information between computers.
  • Skilled in graphic design and interfaces.
  • Understand design tools for PC or Mac multimedia environments.
  • Know typography and design programming.
  • Know the navigational principles of web browsing.
  • Understand the approaches used to develop, integrate and implement websites and or portals.
  • Have at least 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Always looking for new trends and technologies.
  • Work well with minimal supervision and take personal initiative.
  • Open to new ideas.
  • Detail oriented and patient.
  • Accountable.
  • Ability to manage stress well.
  • Team player.
  • Skilled problem solver.
  • Have strong analytical, organizational and planning skills.
  • Have strong skills in oral and written communications in Kiswahili and English.
