Novacom Systems Limited is the sole distributer of Micros-Fidelio suite of products in Eastern Africa and has grown to be a market leader, providing the hospitality industry with these world-bestselling and most functional software solutions.
Since inception in 1997, we have enjoyed rapid growth and market penetration as we continue to focus on providing complete and scalable solutions to our customers, and delivering them with quality service.  
We are based in Nairobi, Kenya with branch offices in Mombasa, Dar-es-Salaam and Addis Ababa. 

To support this growth, we are seeking to fill the following positions:


IT Project Manager
The IT Project Manager will direct and manage projects from inception to completion within the constraints of time and  budget, while ensuring overall service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and clients.
  • Develop project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Supervise overall project implementation ensuring project complies with internal standards & policies, and monitor progress through periodic status update meetings with the management
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project teams, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas,  escalating any major issues/concerns delaying the project progress
  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the projects.
  • Serve as the designated point of contact for project procedural issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field from a recognized university. 
  • Additional qualification in project management is a definite advantage.
  • 3-5 years project management experience in a Commercial environment.
  • Must have a good track record of Project Delivery including design, management, commissioning and handover.
  • Experience with cross cultural/regional projects or globally run businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project teams, stakeholder interests and provide project solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the principles, processes and tools of project management.
  • Ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders across functions/ departments, regions, externally and internally to deliver the project’s objectives.
  • Ability to make decisions and tackle challenges in a complex and rapidly evolving environment.

IT Support Manager
The IT Support Manager will be responsible for providing clients in the hospitality industry with technical support to ensure that installed systems function optimally and clients get maximum benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a close relationship with clients to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects.
  • Lead the Support Teams in the provision of product support whilst ensuring that agreed service level agreements are adhered to.
  • Take charge of the configuration and upgrade of the Micros Fidelio suite of product installations ,both software and hardware
  • Streamline operations to ensure timely delivery of IT support services in line with the business objectives of the organization.
  • Ensure timely response and resolution of client issues and requests and manage the escalation of complex queries
  • Be responsible for supporting all IT infrastructure services including Top Desk applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field from a recognized university.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in a comparable position preferably in the hospitality industry. Knowledge of Micros-Fidelio Suite of products is an added advantage.
  • Proven extensive experience in providing high level customer focused technical hardware and software support of computer systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
