Key Responsibilities

Marketing Executive is involved in developing marketing campaigns that promote Wananchi Business Services. 
This role primarily includes Planning, Execution and Post Implementation Evaluation of the Marketing Initiatives in line with the Organization’s Strategic Objectives.

Key job tasks of Marketing Executive
 

Planning
  • Spearhead the Marketing Planning Process for Long-term, Medium and Short Term Period Span addressing targeted market segments and in support of the firms product portfolio
  • Input into the Annual Marketing Budgeting process
  • Plan the day to day execution of marketing activities
  • In liaison with 3rd Party Service Providers plan Wananchi Business Services plan in line with the 3rd Party’s contractual obligation and Wananchi Business Services strategic objectives and direction
  • Plan certain ‘One-Off’ Activities in support of the Organization’s marketing activities as may be required from time to time
  • Ensure the excellence and capability of plans to deliver brand equity and sales objectives.
  • Plan market research and market intelligence gathering efforts relating to the Company’s brand, product performance and customer satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities of brand building, sales enhancement through marketing and communication
Execution
  • Co-ordinate, Supervise and Oversee the perfect execution of the Organization’s Marketing Activities
  • Ensure the performance 3rd Party service providers in line with their contractual obligations and for the benefit of WBS. Coordinate the Brand and Marketing related internal communication
  • Ensure that the Company’s Communication Channels and messaging including the Website and other Social Media are kept current and relevant
  • Oversee the performance of marketing research and intelligence gathering in relation to the Brand, Product performance and Customer Satisfaction
Post Implementation Evaluation
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the marketing and communication tactics and activities against set/identified goals and objectives
  • Extract and communicate Market Intelligence and other critical feedback obtained during and after the execution of the marketing plans
  • Explore ways of and expanding the effectiveness of marketing activities/ campaigns
  • Manage any adverse/ negative outcome of marketing and communication activities including negative publicity affecting the Company’s brand
Minimum Qualification:
  • B Com degree in Marketing (or equivalent) with sales diploma preferred.
  • Experience in an agency dealing with below the line and above the line marketing concepts
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar field or related field with track record in sales
  • Excellent communication skills; presentation skills must be very good
  • Analytical skills and ability to work with numbers
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Project Management Skills
