Sian Roses is one of the leading producers of high quality roses and calla lilies. 
We would like to fill the following available vacancy:
We are seeking to recruit a Human Resource Manager who is a team player with a high sense of integrity, confidentiality, good organization and administrative skills, good interpersonal skills with demonstrated sound work ethics, consistency and fairness.

The job entails;

Reporting to the General Manager the position will initially be based in Equator Flowers Limited- Eldoret, but this could change over time as one can be transferred to any of the group farms.

The key responsibilities

  • Coordinating staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff in the farm;
  • Driving the new employee induction programs at the farm;.
  • Ensure proper labour employee and industrial relations at farm level;
  • Ensure proper Manpower planning, development and reporting at farm level.
  • Provide HR Administrative support in the farm.
  • Management of staff welfare and benefits schemes in the farm.
  • Coordinating and managing staff training programs;
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with the health & safety, union, welfare committees and the management and keep a record of all the minutes;
  • Support and coordinate Performance management program, Provide guidance to supervisors and staff on HR policies, Managing staff Leave and absence in the farm, Monitoring HR budget at farm level, Maintain personal files and ensure they are up to date and Responsible for Occupational Health and safety in the farm.
  • Participate in development of company policies and staff regulations.
The candidates should posses the following minimum qualifications;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education or social sciences.
  • Post Graduate Diploma In Human Resources Management
  • At least 2 years experience in a busy HR set up.
  • Active membership of the Institute of Human Resource Management
  • Proficiency in Ms Office packages and HR management systems.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
  • A good understanding of relevant labour legislation, policies and procedures.
