The Pumwani Maternity Hospital invites applications for the position of a Pharmaceutical technologist and Nurse Counsellor.

Pharmaceutical Technologist
The overall objective of this position is to provide clinical support to ensure that all high quality and comprehensive HIV/AIDS/TB care and treatment services to all patients.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Be in possession of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C plain
  • Be in possession of a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized Medical Training College
  • Be registered by the PPB
  • Work experience of at least 2 years in a busy pharmacy providing TB and HIV services
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem- solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills: innovative, team player, able to train, motivate, mentor/coach, supervise and inspire confidence among those working under him/her
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational, planning, interpersonal and communication skills
Nurse Counsellor
Successful candidates will among other responsibilities provide comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment services including ART, RH/PMTCT, HTC and psychosocial support.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BSN degree in with 2 years’ or a diploma in nursing with at least 3 years’ experience in a busy clinical environment.
  • Registration with nursing council and training on PMTCT/ART/Counselling
