Job Description:
  • The role of the payables accountant will include performing accounting and clerical tasks related to accounts payable transactions
  • Preparing supplier statements for consignment and marketplace suppliers
  • Preparing payments to suppliers
  • Inputting the correct reporting in the accounting system
  • sort, code and match invoices
  • set up invoices for payment
  • enter and upload invoices into system
  • post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • maintain vendor files
  • assist with month end closing
Qualifications and Experience
  • CPA / ACCA qualifications
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in processing payments
  • Very Good excel skills
  • Knowledge of SAGE  and other accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly analytical individual with attention to detail
