Boma Safi Limited is a Social Enterprise engaged in the distribution of life improving and poverty solving goods to Bottom of Pyramid (BoP) consumers in rural and peri urban markets.
Boma Safi reaches these markets through engagement with points of sale who are typically entrepreneurs, SACCOs, women organizations and faith groups.
To create a competitive environment in which we are better able to serve our clients, Boma Safi wishes to recruit self driven Sales and Marketing Agents to further its agenda.
Boma Safi is opening hubs and mini hubs in different regions, which seeks to improve on the current distribution system which relies on delivery logistics whereby products are supplied across the country from the central hub.
Boma Safi wishes to recruit Sales & Marketing Executives to be based in Mombasa (1 post), Kilifi (1 post), Kwale (1 post), Nandi Hills (1 post), Naivasha (1 post), Thika (1 post), Nakuru (2 posts), Kitale (1 post), Nyeri (1 post), Olkalou (1 post), Nanyuki (1 post), Meru (1 post) and Embu (1 post).
Key Duties for the Position:
Reporting to the Regional Marketing Coordinator, the successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Points of Sale recruitment and sign up– mainly Saccos and other entrepreneurs
- Organize marketing demos for allocated Saccos as POS
- Recruitment of Promoters for renewable energy products
- Marketing of solar lighting systems and energy efficient cook stoves through the signed up POS
- Coordinate delivery of sales orders and follow up of payments by respective POS
- Marketing Boma Safi as a distribution company
- Maintain good relations between Boma Safi in regions and other stakeholders
Qualification / Skills:
- A diploma or degree in Marketing from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in SACCO, MFI or consumer goods (without including fast moving goods)
- Experience working with organized groups will be an added advantage
- A self starter
- Excellent communication skills
- Age: 25 years and above
- Ready to work in a startup company
