Background

Jacaranda Health is a social venture that aims to set a new standard for maternity care in East Africa. We are combining business and clinical innovations to provide affordable maternity and reproductive health services to low-income urban women. . As it builds a network of maternity hospitals, Jacaranda Health launched one clinic in Nairobi in 2012, a second in 2014, and one more is in process in the region.

Special projects officer (temporary) 

 

Job Summary

We are seeking to hire on temporary basis, a Special Projects Officer, to work in our Maternity Hospitals. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, the Special Projects Officer will be working in different projects including marketing strategies implementation, partnership development and building stakeholder relations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Business Operations and other members of Jacaranda Health on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and carry out assigned projects efficiently and within agreed time lines.
  • Offer support to customer service team.
  • Negotiate with various stakeholders to gain their buy-in.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree in Project Management or Marketing
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the field of project management with a marketing orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high negotiation capability
  • Strong organizational skills and time management capabilities
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively with a team in a culturally diverse environment
  • A good understanding of community dynamics. Knowledge and familiarity with low-income urban areas of Nairobi.
