Data Officer Vacancy – Garissa, Isiolo – Pathfinder International

We are an international NGO implementing a large, multi-year health sector program across the northern arid counties of Kenya.

We are seeking a talented and hard-working individual to be a part of dynamic teams committed to improving the lives of men, women and children in this region

Reporting to the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and working closely with the Data Manager the Data Officer is responsible for ensuring quality in collection, cleaning and entry of community and health facility data into the project databases, and collation of training reports.

S/he will participate in data analysis and presentation and provide support for data collection, analysis, dissemination, and use among project partners.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Health Records or its equivalent
  • Three years relevant work experience in an international NGO preferably in HIV/AIDS sector.
  • Solid experience in data quality exercises and data entry.
  • Training and capacity building skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to field sites
  • Experience in training on the use of data collection tool
  • Good working knowledge with Excel, SPSS, or other statistical programs or PEPFAR databases preferred
