Receptionist Vacancy

Our client in the telecommunication industry is seeking to fill the position of Receptionist who will be charged with the following duties and responsibilities.
  • Greeting visitors, offering them refreshments and directing them to the right person
  • Answering queries from callers and visitors
  • Answering calls and taking and relaying messages
  • Screening and directing phone calls
  • Receiving and sorting mail and deliveries
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Maintaining appointment diary either manually or electronically
  • Carryout office filing, bookkeeping and scheduling of events and appointments accordingly.
  • Preparing letters and documents
  • General administrative and clerical support
  • Tidying and maintaining the reception area
  • Looking after the ‘visitor’ book and security passes
Minimum qualifications, skills and competencies
  • Diploma in Business Administration or related field
  • At least 2 years of similar experience in a busy office
  • Excellent telephone and office etiquette
  • Ability to effectively use standard office software, such as MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Power point)
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Dependable, responsible, reliable and attentive to detail
