Reservations Assistant

Type of contract: Fixed Term
The ideal candidate must have a background in reservations, basic accountancy and flight operations / dispatch.
Details
- Getting information about areas of interest in order to target more clients in particular seasons.
- Making arrangements for clients’ travel programs.
- Handle Campi Ya Kanzi airplane and lodge bookings
- Procure clients by marketing the camp
- Giving answers to enquiries by clients and advising them accordingly regarding bookings and reservations.
- Assisting customers who encounter problems in obtaining booking or operating self-service equipment
- Telephone and VHF Radio operations
- Company aircraft operations; Loading and offloading, basic fuelling, weights and balance
- Managing of the orders received from the camps; food and supplies
- Documentation to the camps
- Liaising with Pilots
- Flight planning; The Department will produce the flight plan in liaison with the pilot and make sure is delivered in time to the competent authority, likewise with passenger’s manifests & passenger tickets for Customs.
- Daily office duties; clerical & such as cleaning the office.
- Book keeping
- Meet and Greet in Wilson
- Liaise with Reservationist to substitute during off, therefore be familiar with the reservation system.
- Any other duties that may be allocated by the office manager.
Qualification
- Diploma in Tourism related fields. A university degree is an added advantage
- At least 2 years experience in the featured post
- Ability to work long hours and under pressure
- Excellent communication and bargaining skills
Salary: Gross KES 25,000 on probation and KES 30,000 on hiring and confirmed.
