Accounts Assistant
 
Kimisitu Investment Company Limited (KICL) is a young company incorporated by members of Kimisitu Sacco Society Ltd, in August 2010, to meet their need in pursuing investments through pooling resources. 
 
We are seeking a competent and highly motivated person to fill in the position of an Accounts Assistant.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement effective financial and accounting policies and procedures
  • Apply effective financial accounting and reporting systems
  • Management of the general and subsidiary ledgers in accordance with internationally accepted accounting standards and financial reporting principles
  • Process all payments of the company and ensure that all statutory deductions are remitted in time.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Co-ordinate the Company’s internal and external audit processes, ensuring document availability, provision of information and support required
  • Provide support to all other functions to enhance organizational goals
  • Provide guidance to the CEO and on financial decisions in KICL
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
  • Professional qualification in Accounting (CPA II , ACCA or equivalent)
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy environment
Skills
  • Ability to carry out financial analysis, financial projections and budgeting
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions in line with established policies and procedures
  • knowledge and proficiency in computerized accounting operations
