2013/2014 Rotary Foundation Scholarships for International Students

Each year, the Foundation provides grants to Rotary international students. 60 scholarships are available for graduate studies in the fields of international relations, sustainable development, peace studies and conflict resolution and up to 50 scholarships are offered to win a professional development certificate in peace and conflict . The scholarship is tenable at Rotary Partners for Peace at the University Center, which includes the University of Queensland, Australia, International Christian University, Japan, University of Uppsala, Sweden, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, University of Bradford , United Kingdom, Duke University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. Deadline is 1 July 2013.

2013/2014 Rotary Foundation Scholarships for International Students Study Subject (s): Rotary Peace Fellows began a master’s degree in the fields of international relations, sustainable development, peace studies and conflict resolution and professional development certificate in peace and conflicts.

2013/2014 Rotary Foundation Scholarships for International Students Course Level: Rotary Fellows obtain either a Certificate of Professional Development in Peace and Conflict Studies and an MA in international relations, sustainable development, peace studies, conflict resolution or less Rotary Partner Universities Peace Centre.

2013/2014 Rotary FoundationScholarships for International Students

Eligibility:

-A strong commitment to international understanding and peace demonstrated through professional and academic achievements and personal service activities and community

-A bachelor’s degree or related experience at least, with strong academic success.

-A minimum of three years combined paid or unpaid full-time relevant work experience (control) or five years of relevant work experience in current full time position in a mid to high level (certificate)

-Proficiency in a second language (control) or in English (Certificate)

-Strong leadership skills.

-Individuals applying immediately after obtaining an undergraduate degree are generally not good candidates for the Rotary Scholarship. Persons with disabilities and members of Rotaract clubs are eligible and encouraged to apply.

-Those who have participated in the Ambassadors program scholarships or are Fellows of the peace in the professional development program at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, are required to wait a minimum of three full years before apply for a scholarship mastery.

-The people who participated in the curriculum of master Rotary Peace Centers are not eligible for the professional development program at Chulalongkorn University.

Open Scholarship for students from the following countries: Foreign students can apply for a scholarship.

Scholarship Description: Rotary Fellows are leaders promoting national and international cooperation, peace and conflict resolution throughout their lives, their careers, and through service activities. Fellows can earn either a master’s degree in international relations, public administration, sustainable development, peace studies, conflict resolution, or a related field, or a professional development certificate in peace and conflict resolution.

Number of award (s): Each year, up to 60 scholarships are available for Rotary study an MA in international relations, peace studies, conflict resolution, and related fields, and to 50 Rotary scholarships are available for a professional development certificate in peace and conflict.

What is the coverage? Rotary award for peace includes:

-Tuition

-Room and board

-Roundtrip transportation

Tuition -Internship/field.

How to Apply: Applicants must submit their application and all required parts to a Rotary club, preferably a club near you or legal permanent resident, full-time education or employment. Deadlines vary by club, so you must contact the club before completing the application. Use the Rotary Club Locator to rotary.org to find a club in your area. Applicants can not apply directly to the Foundation or Rotary Center for Peace. You must apply through a Rotary club and district.
