The Resolution Insurance brand is energetic and trendy. In pursuit of our ambitious growth plan, we are looking to fill the below positions in our Finance Department. Accountant – Bank Reconciliations
The Role:
  • Ensure complete and accurate Bank Reconciliations for all cashbooks
  • Assist with Other Ledger reconciliations as will be assigned;
  • Reconcile the Current Accounts ;
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time;
The Person: To be successful in this role you will have:
Qualifications and experience:
  • A first university degree in commerce or business
  • Professional Qualifications : CPA (K) or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience in the use of accounting software
  • High proficiency in use of Excel and Word

  • A team player with the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision;

Accounts Assistant – Commission Payables
The Role:
  • Process and make commission payments;
  • Reconcile Account Managers accounts and report to the Chief Financial Officer;
  • Ensure all income received is banked and recorded in the cash update within 24 hours;
  • Prepare taxation schedules and ensure that remittances are made i.e. withholding tax (commissions, consultant and VAT);
  • Prepare schedules of statutory deductions and ensure that remittances are made i.e. NSSF, NHIF, DIT, pension and HELB;
  • Ensure deductions made on both the general and commissions’ payroll for loans, SACCO shares and others are remitted;
  • Keep record of cheques issued and ensure all drawn cheques appear in the cashbook;
  • Timely and accurate processing of premium refunds;
  • Timely processing of Directors Allowances and reconciliation of related;
  • Timely and accurately processing of Rider Claims and Rider Premiums to clients and re-insurers respectively;
  • Timely processing of Tender Security Guarantees;
  • Timely processing of Tanzania Payments and Commissions;
Qualifications and experience:
  • A first university degree in commerce or business
  • Professional Qualifications : CPA (K) or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
Key Competencies:
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of accounting software will be an added advantage
