Food Security Project Coordinator

The holder of this position is responsible for the facilitation andimplementation of food security interventions in children rescue centers and at the community level as well as provide leadership in the
program. 
 
Specific key tasks include:
  • Ensuring the project is conducted according to pre-set Work Plans
  • Effective management of employees in the section
  • Preparing timely reports as per specific donor guidelines
  • Assisting in the development of long-term strategies for the rescue centers including identification of markets for their produce and development long-term partnerships
  • Document the most significant change stories and pictures of various activities
  • Liaise with other NGOs and Government bodies for support to the project
Person specification:
  • Diploma in General Agriculture, Conservation/Organic Agriculture or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in Rural /Community Development projects

  • Reviewing field finance reports
  • Preparing monthly project financial reports and interpreting them to program and field staff
  • Effective management of financial systems and providing field financial support
  • Preparing annual audit schedules
Person specification
  • Bachelors of Commerce with accounting option
  • CPA Part 2 with minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Proficient in use of QuickBooks and MS Office applications (MS Excel very important)

CCCD Project Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operational and administrative activities:
  • Organize travel arrangements
  • Organize job-related meetings and appointments, including booking venues
  • Be the first point of contact as for breach of code of conduct, especially office cleanliness.
Qualifications:
  • At least a Diploma in Administration, Bachelor Degree from a recognized university – preferred
