To maximise our commitment to sustainable medical health development, provide innovative products, medical solutions and stewardship through product life-cycle management, we seek to recruit qualified and result oriented individuals to fill the following position,

Medical Representative: 
(Ref No. 2014/HR/BHC-002)
 

Reporting to the Business Unit Sales and Marketing Manager, the Medical Representative, will be responsible for conducting promotional activities through provision of information about Bayer HealthCare products to health care professionals in line with the agreed business strategy.


Major tasks/ duties
  • Promoting the use of Bayer HealthCare products to health care professionals.
  • Achieve agreed Sales Volume and Value in your assigned territory.
  • Identify and exploit new business opportunities for Bayer Healthcare in your assigned territory.
  • Ensure that all promotional activities undertaken are documented according to set standards and fully comply with IFPMA code of conduct, as well as with Bayer HealthCare compliance manual.
  • To perform tasks that are related or functionally connected to the ones described herein, as long as the employee is adequately qualified and such tasks do not imply professional depreciation.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Good customer relationship management skills.
  • Key opinion leader identification and development.
  • Key accounts management.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to organize and execute continuous medical education meetings.
  • Ability to relate well with people at different levels of authority.
Education /Experience:
  • A degree or diploma in either of the following Biological Sciences – Pharmacy, Medicine and
  • Surgery, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing or Clinical Medicine from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
  • A Pharmaceuticals Representative license from Pharmacy and Poisons Board
  • A valid driving license
  • Computer literate (at least comfortable with MS Office)
  • At least two years’ experience as a Medical Representative
