Communications Interns at Farm Concern International (FCI)

Farm Concern International, FCI is currently looking for Communications Interns to assist the Communications department in providing professional visibility to the numerous institutional activities planned for 2014.

Active, flexible and outgoing candidates are invited to send their application letter and CV to FCI explaining how their skills and experiences would contribute to FCI’s work.
The intern will assist in the following areas:

External communications

  • Implementation of the FCI’s annual communication strategy
  • Communication on each of the FCI’s programs and projects
  • Organization of conferences, workshops and program events
  • Maintenance and further development of good relations with the  media
  • Development of articles and updates to the website
  • Preparation and dissemination of press releases, newsletters, media briefings and other relevant communications material
Internal communications
  • Update of the intranet and internal newsletter
  • Communication briefs to  FCI staff
 Skills / Qualifications
  • A university degree
  • First experiences in Public Relations, communication/media, journalism are an asset
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with design software and IT an advantage
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Able to establish productive relationships with people at all levels
  • Positive and adaptable approach to problem solving
  • Innovative and creative
