Reports:
1. Functionally to Business Development Manager

2. Administratively to ROM

Purpose of the job: The purpose of this role is to leverage our investor network to drive business for the SBUs in the region. The holder of this position will be responsible for the overall management of the Region’s business development function.

Roles and Responsibilities

A. Business Strategy

  • In liaison with the relevant SBU head and the Group BDM, develop a region specific business development strategy for each brand
  • Create synergies between different FEP brands to deepen market uptake
  • Coordinate business development efforts within the region
  • Coordinate design and implementation of marketing campaigns
  • Collecting and feeding back market data on product uptake, competition, and improvements
B. Business Results
  • Drive sales for different brands within the region
  • Deliver growth for specific brands as agreed on from time to time
  • Grow uptake of products and services from the SBUs by the regional community of investors and FEP members
  • Identify and activate new business lines and channels in the region
  • Develop and support business partnerships within the region
C. Customer Service
  • Develop and implement a customer service charter
  • Set up and maintain efficient and effective customer service
  • Ensure all customer issues are followed through to resolution
  • Capture and update customers database
  • Grow the levels of customer satisfaction
D. Staff Supervision
  • Supervise SBU staff in the region
  • Deploy and supervise marketing agents
  • Manage employees performance by coaching, developing, and appraising them
  • Oversee and support independent agents in the region

E. Other Duties
  • Act as the principal deputy to the ROM in regional leadership
  • Submit monthly and other reports as requested from time to time
  • Any other duty as delegated.

Qualifications
  • University Degree in Business studies.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in business development.
  • Experience in sales and marketing in a corporate firm will be an added advantage.
  • Computer skills (Ms Word, Excel);

  • FEP appointed sales agents
Budget / Expenditure: As per laid down in financial control policies.
