Job Purpose / Summary: Is responsible for CPE Supply Planning for the short to medium term and Inventory Management to optimise customer service at minimal cost.
Ensures that there are no interruptions in operations by timely delivery of materials and that the highest levels of customer service are met with Inventory levels within the set targets..

Key Roles:

  • Manage the materials supply planning process; focusing on the short term supply planning and inventory management.
  • Generate short/ medium materials requirement planning.
  • Identify and decide on short/medium supply issues using the provided guidelines
  • Work closely with suppliers & the clearing and forwarding agents to ensure delivery of customer service, stock and cost requirements
  • Coordinates with the warehousing manager to ensure proper distribution for excellent customer service delivery, stock and cost requirements.
  • Understand the outbound network/distribution constraints and device methods of addressing such.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks on Cost Of Sales goods delivery as well as other deliveries through working with the commercial teams and suppliers and propose ways to resolve them at minimal cost.
  • Work closely with users and the commercial team to drive complexity reduction in through standardization of materials and number of products
  • Deliver the business supply planning process, particularly the annual supply planning process, to ensure robust supply plan issued to the business & procurement teams for volume and cost planning purposes.
  • Manage the stock holding policy in order to meet customer service level targets
  • Determine inbound logistics requirements
  • Manage Inventory and material call offs with suppliers within set inventory targets.
  • Maintain Master Integrity in the system
  • Procurement of CPE equipment & optimization of landed costs.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering/Commerce or an equivalent.
Experience
  • 3-5 years experience in Supply Chain Operations (Planning, Warehousing, and Logistics)
  • Cross-functional business knowledge

  • Strong Analytical, Mathematical and Statistical skills
  • Has a feel for numbers
  • Strong planning mind-set
  • Strong user of database programs and Microsoft Office (Excel)
