Marriage Counselors at Research Care and Training Program (RCTP)
Program Description: The Research Care and Training Program (RCTP) is collaboration between the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and University of Washington (UW).
RCTP leads the Family AIDS Care and Education Services (FACES) program, a comprehensive HIV prevention and Treatment program working in over 140 clinics in Nyanza, Kenya.
We have vacancies in the Sexual Concurrency Study
Position: Marriage Counselor
(2 Positions)
Reports to: Principle Investigator
Location: Kisumu
Duration: Six Months
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Book and track couples’ session attendance
- Facilitate communication and assist resolve conflicts within couples
- Mediate discussions to get couples to agree on rules and boundaries
- Refer couples for additional services whenever indicated
- Plan and write weekly reports
Requirements
- Only Women should apply for these positions.
- Diploma or Higher Diploma in marital and family life counseling
- At least 5 years experience working with couples
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attentive and tactful
