Role Summary:The Project Quality Leader deploys the Grid Solutions (GS) Quality Policy within the Project organization and the projects themselves. Liaising with the GS Quality Leader, the Project Quality Leader sets the appropriate Quality governance with Regions, Product Lines and Quality community. The Project Quality Leader equally ensures that the Quality Management System (QMS) processes required for the Quality Management of the Projects are established, implemented and maintained.Essential Responsibilities:Support EPC function teams in Project Quality Matters:

  • Support the EPC function teams in understanding the Quality requirements (Customers, Standards, Quality stakes, risks and opportunities)
  • Support the EPC functions teams when implementing the PM QMS
  • Liaise with Project Directors to support or clarify any quality need
  • Define Quality reporting to be circulated
  • Establish, maintain and check the Quality System dedicated to the Project; and the relevant quality plans, Inspection and test plans for design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities (design reviews, FAT, SAT)
  • Ensure consistency of the quality approach and commitments between Tender and Execution phases
  • Collect and maintain all quality records confirming equipment and services are conformed to applicable laws, rules standards and contractual requirements
  • Coordinate and report on Project quality activities and interfaces ensuring liaison and communication with Customers and project teams on all quality matters

Manage the QMS and Project Quality Resources:

  • Support the processes quality representatives and the internal quality auditors, controlling their qualifications and training plans
  • Animate the quality resources allocated to large projects (selection, appraisal interviews, skill evaluation, training needs, missions, etc.) to ensure their professional development

Develop and maintain the Grid Solutions Quality Management System:

  • Ensure that necessary processes are established, maintained, coherent and that the repository is adequate and up to date
  • With the support of EPC Leaders, make available for Project teams all necessary standard procedures, instructions, guides, method statements and controlling forms
  • Clarify Quality Red Lines according to the size of the projects and to the maturity of the market expectations

Non-Conformities reviews:

  • Prepare Non-Conformities reviews with the process / function leaders
  • Share with process / function leaders’ statistics on the NCs and assessments of Cost of Non-Quality in their project activities
  • Challenge the process / function leaders in the relevant corrective actions

Follow-up suppliers and sub-contractor’s quality performance:

  • Liaise with Sourcing function to ensure that Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO) include all necessary quality requirements to control their activities
  • Liaise with Sourcing function to ensure knowledge and communication within project functions on suppliers and subcontractors quality performance

Frame and coordinated the quality audit plans:

  • Assist auditors when conducting the audits in determining if the Quality Management System is in compliance with ISO and internal requirements, effectively implemented and maintained
  • Check implementation and monitoring of processes
  • Prepare and animate the third-party audit for ISO certification

Promote the quality approach within the Grid Solutions projects:

  • Make EPC functions teams aware of importance of meeting Customer’s requirements and sensitive to Customer’s expectations
  • Develop understanding at all EPC functions levels of the Quality Policy and encourage communication on the importance of its application
  • Promote and participate in deviations / gap analyzes and corrective actions

Customer care:

  • Get Customer’s contacts from project teams and make them recorded in ACT tool for Grid Solutions CQS campaigns
  • Promote and help Project teams in using ACT tool to manage Customer’s complaints

Qualifications/Requirements:Quality Governance:

  • Liaise with the GS Quality Leader and set the appropriate Quality governance with Regions, PLs and Quality community
  • Define applicable QSM according to Project size and Customer expectations and relevant interested parties
  • Define and lead large project quality reviews, quality performance reviews
  • Support Grid Solutions Regions in their ISO 9001 certification actions
  • Graduate from a recognized university in a field linked to Project activity (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management or Project Management) or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Experience in a leadership / decision-making position
  • Experience in operational areas: engineering, project management, project controls, procurement, construction and commissioning
  • Training and experience in Quality systems, Quality management, Quality assurance & control, supplier Quality
  • Experience in development and implementation of Project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans related to HV turnkey projects
  • Training and experience in problem solving methods and tools
  • Lead or certified Auditor for systems and projects
  • Excellent communicator, fluent in English with at minimum good understanding of French
  • In Nigeria: a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required (please indicate clearly on your resume)
  • In Nigeria: must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in Nigeria
  • In countries other than Nigeria: must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location

Desired Characteristics:

  • Fluent in English
  • Abilities in Management, leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge in turnkey projects development and interfaces
  • Familiar with MS Office, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
